Impero is a small private investigator, sick with melancholy, tired of constantly watching the lives of others. One day she was asked by Rosa, a friend of Francesco’s friend, twenty years before she changed her gender, to follow and protect her son Davide. A rebellious adolescent, a socially engaged vegetarian, she lives in abandoned factories on the outskirts of Turin. David and his friends perform provocations against the symbols of globalized and arrogant capitalism. One night during an attack on a biotechnology lab, Davide hits a guard and empires his role as a passive observer and helps the boy escape. Davide does not want to be protected and it is only through Rosa that he abandons his distrust.
